I applied for an apartment and they declined me?
Shines asked:
They said I had an eviction. I don’t know of ever getting one. I checked my credit reports, all 3, the REAL free reports from the government and there isn’t anything about owing any apartments or evictions..

Is there a government (gov.) type website that will direct me to where I can search up evictions. I’ve been going over fcmcclerk, (the one for where i live, Franklin County, OH ) and I cannot find any information on how to find out who’s got this eviction notice on me… Thank you.
well i just got married and now we don’t really have good credit so thats why we’re looking for apartments, though would love to have our own home..thanks though

maybe that apt complex did not like your makeup.
if it is important, review all the apts where you have lived for
5 yrs and see if you missed any payments when leaving.
if you left all of them amicably, you owe zero.
in the mean time,. why not hire a RE agent and buy
a cheap house and not bother with land lords!
I can help

I would think you would know if you had an eviction before.
If you know there is no way (that you didn’t either get kicked out – OR disappear from an apartment prior to the end of the lease), then perhaps there is a matter of mistaken identity, and it’s someone else’s eviction.
Here is a site for getting help to remove an eviction record:

Some reporting agencies pull up things if the name is just close. Which is really stupid. It was probably someone one with the same name but different middle name or something like that. I would inform them that you have never had an eviction, and ask that they look a little closer at your report.

If you are denied for credit, an apartment, etc. You are entitled to a copy of the report that they received. Check it for errors. It may be that when they called or faxed the previous landlord that they gave the wrong information. This may or may not show up on your credit report. If you didn’t have to go to court, then it likely won’t show on the report. Once you discover the truth, make sure it is corrected and the proof is sent to the apartment you are applying for.

Do a search of court records in your county. You might be able to do it at home, online. If someone else was evicted with your name you will have to use that landlord as a reference, to prove that the evicted person had a different SSN then you.
