free 3 credit reports – score

get information on credit bureaus

What is my credit score If I have no credit at all? And Trouble Getting my Free Credit Report?

J Ross asked:

All I have is a bank account in my name and the electric bill in good standing. So what ballpark would my rating be in?

as to my 2nd question I’ve tried to get my free report from annualcreditreport.com and all 3 sites will not give me my report over the net. Plus when I had 1 of them mail it to me they wanted to verify my info. Is there something I should fear or is this normal? Thanks alot guys. (and gals)
To the 1st answerer. it IS free. It’s the website that by law gives you your free annual report. Get your facts straight.
Thanks to the answerers below (except the 1st one) To update I got an instant approval for a credit card with my set limit. Now I can start building credit.

a credit report is not free you have to give credit card info and you are also charged like $14.95 per month

I think, this is perfectly normal for the company(Equifax, Transunion or Experian) to ask for more information (i-e: copies of bills or address verification or SSN) from you because you do not have any new or established credit accounts. Your credit score should be low but I dont know, how low it is but not as low as someone delinquent or in bankruptcy as I should assume.

You should at least build and establish your credit with applying for a secured credit card from a bank. Check them out online or at your nearest bank. They come at an annual fee and your co-lateral deposit needed.

Annualcreditreport.com is free but they limit one free credit report every year. Check on the rules of your state. Some states does have rules that may not allow the company to furnish credit reports via online. Later, you may have to purchase them like what the above reply said or wait another year. Some third party credit reporting companies provide free credit report for their some form of membership or free trials.

Its because the credit bureaus dont have you on file . You need to start applying for a credit card Try capitalone.com
if they dont approve you on the spot online they will send you an invite later on thats what happened to me :)

    EDIT:

    YOU HAVE NO CREDIT SCORE….
